Printing verses Patchwork
Pem America takes special care in the designing and manufacturing of kids bedding that matches your child’s taste. Our kid quilt patterns are carefully hand crafted. Individual pieces of cloth are sewn together. Some competitors use printed cloth that looks pieced in photography but is actually printed and over stitched. Pem America uses other details like embroidery with ribbon and beads to add special touches to our kid quilts.

Pre-washing verses Standard Quilts
Pre-washing is a term used to denote that a quilt has been laundered. Pre-washing is a premium finish. The benefits of pre-washing are the locking in of color and the softening of the fabric. The most recognizable benefit is that all the stiffeners used in manufacturing have been washed away leaving the natural, soft cotton feel that is ideal for princess bedding.

Cotton verses Polyester Filled Quilts
Pem America offers a complete line of
quilts in both cotton fill and polyester fill. Cotton filled quilts are
typically more expensive because of the added skill required in making the
quilts. 100% cotton quilts are typically heavier than polyester filled
quilts because polyester is a less dense fiber. Because of the lighter
weight, polyester has more "holes" with which to retain heat. For this
case Polyester quilts are lighter and can be warmer than 100% cotton quilts.
